At Melbourne Grammar School, ideas are explored, tested and shaped through careful questioning, considered debate and real-world challenge. Students learn to examine assumptions, weigh perspectives and arrive at understanding through their own thinking.
The Courage of Ideas is Melbourne Grammar School’s comprehensive and capital fundraising campaign in support of our School’s strategic vision, Towards 2030.
Independent thinking is shaped by where and how learning happens.
The challenges facing our world are growing more complex. In response, the way we educate our students must evolve.
Including a bequest (also known as a gift in your will) will be an investment in the future of our students and the quality of their education.
Our donors are part of our success, embrace our mission, vision and values, and are valued by staff, students, alumni and parents alike.
To discuss making a gift, creating a new scholarship or bursary, establishing a bequest or any other areas related to giving, please contact us.
Your impact has helped students through scholarships, the community for our teachers and built improved learning environments for future students.

The Courage of Ideas reflects Melbourne Grammar School’s role in developing independent thinking through education, and in building students’ capacity to form and stand behind their own thinking.
It speaks to how intellectual courage is formed at the School. Ideas are questioned, tested and refined through experience, challenge and thoughtful guidance. Donor support sustains the people, programs and environments that make this formation possible.
