The courage to invest in people, not just performance

Support students who strengthen the School through how they play, contribute and carry themselves.

Sport at Melbourne Grammar is shaped not only by results, but by the people who take part and by those who guide them.

Making a gift towards Sport Performance will support students and coaches who contribute through both ability and character, strengethening a culture where participation, commitment and sportsmanship are valued across the School.

Your donation will allow us to:

  • Appoint specialist coaches to help our students master technical skills and tactics
  • Purchase equipment for matches and training
  • Upgrade storage and coaching facilities
  • Implement a nutrition program that bolsters performance
  • Support and strengthen coaching excellence at Melbourne Grammar School
  • Improve strength and conditioning equipment and training opportunities

Donations can be made via the Australian Sports Foundation to ensure your gift is tax-deductible. You can choose to donate towards one of Melbourne Grammar School’s active campaigns for Rowing, Australian Rules Football, Soccer and Rugby Union.

Former Geelong Footbal Club full forward Tom Hawkins (OM 2006) remains one of Melbourne Grammar’s favourite sons. He is a third-generation boarder at Perry House, following on from his grandfather Wynne (OM 1940) and his father Jack (OM 1972), and is the ranking Old Melburnian to play the most VFL/AFL games in the School’s history.

Support students who model independent thinking and courage through sport.

I came from a small country town in NSW to a place where I didn’t know anyone, but being a boarder at Melbourne Grammar was the best experience of my life.

Your support in action

Independent thinking is developed through experience, not chance.

Your support provides the time, guidance and challenge students need to develop confidence in their thinking, preparing them to contribute thoughtfully in a complex world.

Help shape the next generation of independent thinkers.

Soccer

For more than 50 years, Melbourne Grammar School has grown a successful and meaningful Soccer program: currently supporting more than 300 students from Years 5-12 to develop their game in a fun and competitive environment.

Australian Rules Football

Supporting Melbourne Grammar’s Australian Rules Football program allows us to continue our journey to becoming a leading football school in Australia.

Rugby Union

Supporting Rugby Union unlocks tremendous opportunities for the more than 120 students currently participating in the sport at the School — We want to provide our students with the best possible chance of success at schoolboy level and beyond.
